Spring and Summer Safety Event

Join us for family fun on the second Friday night in May, June and July.  Well be open from 5 - 7 p.m. on May 13, June 10 and July 8 for families to see our facility and enjoy jeep and bike ride time. There will be educational opportunities as well. No advance registration needed and the event is free of charge.

This open house style event is a favorite for families with children of all ages, offering time to explore our facility as well as ride a jeep or bike in our village.  Jeep rides are recommended for those in Kinder & First grades and bikes are recommended for older elementary aged kids. Pre-schoolers not big enough to drive will enjoy riding along with an older child.  (Please note, our Safety House - Severe Weather Room and Smoke Bedroom - will be closed for remodeling this summer.)

Guest can also take part in a variety of safety education activities in select village buildings and  inside our main facility. Many sponsors will be on hand passing out fun treats and activities include story time, temporary tattoos and fire extinguisher training--for those 8 and older.

Parking is first come-first served. You may park in any legal, non-reserved spot around Central Fire Station or Fire Prevention/Fleet Services across Tomlin Dr. Visitors should NOT drive across emergency vehicle driveway.

We will conduct a formal celebration to commemorate the occasion in the middle of the day with all other activities continuing before and after that.

The event is free and open to the public. No advance registration will be required. Parking will be first come, first served.
