Frisco Fire Safety Town is an educational facility which is part of the Community Education Division of the Frisco Fire Department. We are located adjacent to Central Fire Station in Frisco, 8601 Gary Burns Drive. Our facilities include classrooms, a safety house and miniature village. We are a study trip destination for Frisco ISD and other area schools, hosting elementary aged students during the school year for a variety of safety education programming. During school breaks in spring and summer, we do offer public programs for elementary aged students. Other public visit options include guided tours and public events.
We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; We are closed on the weekends and all City of Frisco holidays --New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day/day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (observed on Friday/Mondays if holiday falls on weekend.) All visits are by appointment only, except for public open house style events.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-ins. We offer Firefighter Guided Tours most weeks each year. We do required advance scheduling for your visit. You may register for the next available tour date on our website.
Frisco Fire Safety Town is a study trip destination. If your child attends Frisco ISD he/she will likely visit during either Kindergarten, First Grade, or Fourth Grade and possibly all three. If your child is preschool aged or attends school outside of FISD there are some other options for you: You can schedule a public tour. Public tours are walking tours guided by a firefighter and lasts about 45 minutes. Also, for all families interested in attending, we offer night time special events four times per year and we do public programming during spring and summer breaks. Visit our special events page for details. Frisco Fire Safety Town has programs designed for children who are attending or have completed kindergarten through 5th grades. Firefighter Guided Tours are available weekly and appropriate for any age.
Yes. Frisco Independent School District schools have the first option of scheduling through mid-November each school year. Any remaining open program dates are offered to other groups and districts. Our spring and summer break programs are open to the public. Advance registration is required; Public programs are open to anyone, not just Frisco residents.
School year study trips, life skills groups, scout programs, public tours as well as spring and summer break programs, can all be scheduled online. Once your registration is submitted, a confirmation will be emailed.
Often we can have a volunteer or staff member attend a school or community event to provide safety education, materials, giveaways, etc. If you would like to make a special requests for our participation in such events as Health/Safety Fairs, Career Days, Civic Group Meetings, HOA Member Events, and similar community functions, please use our online request form. Please note, we try to accommodate each request in some way; However, due to staffing limitations and scheduling conflicts we may not be able to provide a personal appearance for each request.
If you need to schedule the following all can be done from the FriscoFire.com website: Birthday Celebration Visits, Firefighter/Paramedic Visit your school or block party, take a tour of the fire station, schedule your business or organization for fire extinguisher training, sign up to take a CPR/AED Awareness Class or sign up to take Stop the Bleed training.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any meeting rooms space to the public.
We do not hold parties at Frisco Fire Safety Town. However, for those who live within the city limits of Frisco or any of our extra territorial jurisdictions, you may schedule a Birthday Celebration Visit; A fire truck/crew will come to your location to say Happy Birthday, provide you with a fire helmet and badge sticker and show you the fire truck. These are scheduled on the Frisco Fire website.
Preschoolers are invited to attend a Firefighter Guided tour at Frisco Fire Safety Town. Please schedule your tour in advance on our website. The tour features a kid-friendly fire engine that children love to explore. Youngsters are invited to practice crosswalk safety and pedestrian skills in our mini-town after the tour. Jeep and bike rides are not part of the tour.
After a classroom program is completed, children get the chance to participate in the outdoor activities within Frisco Fire Safety Town. Jeep rides are available following kindergarten or first grade safety classes and bike rides are offered after all other classroom programs. Other opportunities for the public to bring children to ride our jeeps and bikes are offered during the spring and summer months: Safety Walk and Ride days (spring break and summer) and Spring and Summer Safety Event (May, June, July.)

Our Frisco Fire Safety Town General Store is inside our educational building. We sell Frisco Fire Department apparel and Safety Town novelty items. Store hours are regular business hours only (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., M-F) at Frisco Fire Safety Town.
